Party Time
Tuesday 8
July was our last Ziggies session for this school year. To celebrate the end of
term, we had a little party with two very special guests. Ziggie the
caterpillar and Freckle the frog joined us and awarded certificates to all our
Ziggies children. There were also some special awards for our loyal grown ups,
who have supported us so well in all our sessions.
Instead of
the usual story reading and themed craft, we made party hats, ate delicious
party food, and enjoyed some free play with sand, play dough, and paint. We
also played with Ziggie and Freckle until they were very tired and had to go
home to bed! A special thank you to them both for coming to the party and
playing with the children.
Both Lynne
and Nerys would like to thank everyone who has joined us in Ziggies over the
last 6 months or so, for participating so enthusiastically in all our
activities and making Ziggies a wonderful success. We would also like to thank
you all for your kind words and gifts. Special thanks also to Mrs Jarrold and
the school staff, who have provided us with the resources and support necessary
to run Ziggies, and given us the freedom to run it as we wish. We hope you all
have a great summer and the weather is good.
Just a
reminder that there is a free fun day in Pontyclun Rugby Club for all Ziggies
participants from all the schools and organisations which run Ziggies. It’s on
Tuesday 12 August from 11am to 3pm. We’d love to see you there. Further
information on the Ziggies Facebook page.
Ziggies After
School Club will be back on Tuesday 16 September, from 3.15pm – 4.15pm in the
Middle Block Hall. We will be reading ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle.
We would love to see our Ziggies regulars back again, together with some new
friends from the new Year 1 classes. So, please come along with your grown up
and a copy of the book (if you have one), and any brothers or sisters you may
have, to join us for some stories, craft and fun.
